After while, upstairs to the pink room's bed with the paper & the kitties. Salisbury looks out onto the street. It's starting to drizzle.
Under the NYS Thru-way Overpass. Massive, and only a tiny piece of the big long road. Suffern Farmers' Market is behind me as I take this photo.
Back upstairs for round two of paper & naps. Kittens start their snoozing here and very soon end up....
...like this. So cuddly.
End of a summer of weird weather. Away with linen and cotton and the ceiling fan; the shaded screened front porch, the hot buzz of junebug air, the backyard's stovetop deck, the rustling simmer of the wisteria canopy, streaked with cerulean jays' wings & dotted with priceless cardinal rubies. My dense suburban canopy. Autumns of the Northeast- gorgeous stretches of dazzling sunlight filtered thru crisp and crackling red, orange and yellow leaves. I love the brisk air which infuses a body with the crack of beginning. Heave in a deep breath and lock it with a grin. Squint into fresh cold air, pull your shoulders back and step into new.
